Mummy Dogs
Transform an everyday, plain old hotdog into a fun and spooky Halloween food that packs a ton of flavor.
Ingredients

Hot dogs - 2 packages (12)

Crescent dough

Ketchup and Mustard (optional)

Preparation

Prepare the crescent dough following any of your favorite recipe. My crescent roll base recipe is posted here.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Roll the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into 1/2 inch thin strips.

Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog by stretching it a bit and letting it crisscross.

Place the dough wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

Remove the pan from the oven and place a dot of ketchup or mustard for eyes.

Serve warm.

Substitution : In a pinch you can substitute the dough with the Pillsbury crescent dough sheet that comes pre packaged.
